Sybille Biedert is the Founder of Embodied Freedom

I offer an experimental approach of movement combined with ‘Possibility Management’.

As a credited Open Floor teacher completing my training 6 years ago I started playing with the combination of Possibility Management and Open Floor to create a unique fusion. I began to alchemise the distinctions of Possibility Management into an embodied experience and I researched and explored the soundscape that supports that to arrive in people’s bodies.

My journey with movement started in my teenage years, dancing with my emotions to heavy metal to survive and feel myself. I was 18 when I offered my first movement session in a gym and I was so alive afterwards knowing this is what I am here to do. Exploring different modalities over the years including 5 Rhythm’s, I have danced with many different teachers for over 10 years. I then started my Open Floor teacher training in 2017, running workshops and retreats, youth events and women’s gatherings in Tui as well as regular local classes.

Since coming across Possibility Management 6 years ago I have dived deeply into my own healing as my marriage came to an end and a big transformation was happening for me and my family. I participated in many Expand the Box trainings, Lab’s, Rage Clubs, Gremlin transformation and become part of the Possibilitator training. Through my own journey as it was alive in me I started exploring and combining movement with Possibility Management concepts and distinctions to create somatic exercises that support people to feel the power of the work in their physical bodies. Within this ongoing work I am committed to by own evolution as I am always creating from my edge, from not knowing and listening to what wants to come.

I have been bringing the clarity of feelings into all of my events. The spaces allow participants to create a new relationship with their feelings and emotions. Slowly I am creating my own body of work now for 6 years. My research is flowing into the space that I create.

Last year I also trained as a Rage club space holder and now I am offering conscious anger practise with movement. The distinctions of conscious anger bring empowerment and I come fully alive brining this to women in groups and one on one. I am involved in many teams bringing Possibility Management and movement into spaces to create connection in my village and in Christchurch, Motueka and Nelson.

My offerings are unique due to my experimental approach, combining movement with tools for self-transformation.

Embodied Freedom describes my passion for people, community and movement. Its is astonishing what comes alive in a group when you are in connection with yourself and each other.

Community Living

I am living with my two teenager son’s in Tui Community. I am actively and ongoing creating projects in my community to support my own young adults and other youth. I love living on the land and in nature even so living in community has brought me to my edge many times I am continuing to choose this place and the people here.

In the past I have created multiple youth events reconnecting youth with art and wider tribe, it is a passion of mine to support young people to find their voice and what is alive in them.

I have been living in Tui for the last 20 years. An intentional community called Tui in Golden Bay.

I use my fear to create transformational spaces, bringing my full passion and commitment. I am determined to create spaces where people can wake to themselves. Doing this over and over again and getting my beeps and go’s has led me to create the Embodied Freedom Movement practice.

I have been overing movement explorations for 15 years, for the past 6 years I have been offering transformational retreats and workshops across New Zealand, individually or in collaboration with others.

I am a dedicated edge-worker and a force of nature.

I am using the medicine of movement for self-inquiry and transformation for community and the individual. I am passionate about the power of group work and I love supporting people to do what they are here to do. When I hold space I create a container whereby participants are gently and effectively supported to dance into their inner-unknown.

I offer possibilities for internal shifts and healing. I am passionate about Possibility Management and bring it as movement medicine because it empowers people with practical life tools that are easy to implement into their own daily life; the ability to establish healthy boundaries with conscious anger practise; more clarity of purpose; the changing of old stories; a deeper understanding of the complexity of our being and a centring into your authentic self.
