Do you love connection, acceptance, to be seen?

You can be part of a conscious, experimental, co-created festival to bring together younger (17+) and older adults to explore, notice and transform together in relation.

SoulHum is a ground-breaking, drug-free, non-profit Conscious Discovery Festival, it will be held in the Tui Treefield in Wainui, Golden Bay.

Last year in April four young people aged 16-19 joined in a journey of deep feeling-work and self-discovery: a very adult zone. Having these young adults together with grownups - as never done before in this context - sparked the idea for SoulHum. An intergenerational space to bridge the gap between young adults and ‘everyone else;’ to be able to learn from each other and experience individuality through the lens of the collective.

Oh, what a utopia it could be, but what would it actually look like?

SoulHum will include many possibilities for action and for stillness. A juxtaposition of shared, held space to open, optional times. Rage spaces, conscious movement infused with Possibility Management, art and crafting, music creation, DJ’s practise, drumming workshops and drumming as a whole group, bush craft, Sauna and hot tub, nourishing communal meals, play and carving workshops and much more.

Creative expression, skills development, authentic connection and community living.

To add to the authenticity of this event, the team who are co-creating it and making it happen are made up of younger and older adults alike: aged 17-40+, every workshop will be held by an ‘younger’ Adult and an ‘older’ adult, to get inspired by each other and bring the two different vibes. All are passionate about creating this intergenerational link between young and older.

A quote from one team member, Sybille Biedert:
“I am in this team because I am a bridge builder and I love creating communities with different ages. It inspires me to connect and share with different ages as so much becomes possible for myself and the younger person [as well].”

A recent team member, Fox Horton aged 17, says:

“I have had so many beautiful connections with many different people of all ages, and communal living is a big love of mine. There is so much to learn and I am excited for this event to unfold.”

Inspire and be inspired, experience connection in action, let’s discover ourselves together. We are each a note and voice, each an individual song and melody; together our souls hum a symphony.
